The TimeSaver Base® is a completely new design with a large open working area and single quadrant terminals.
Other features include two fixing centres, a guide on the base interior to indicate the length of cable to be stripped and E-Z Fit slots to make fitting to a BESA box easier. There is also a continuity link that enables voltage testing of zone wiring prior to commissioning. The link is automatically broken when the detector is first inserted. The base also has a locking mechanism so that if detectors need to be locked in, a marked part of the base is simply cut out to make it a locking base.
