Victoria Blake 2010/2011
The marketing placement offers the opportunity to gain a
hands-on experience in a busy marketing environment, supporting the
Marketing group with all activities.
Some of the duties throughout the role include assisting in the
update of literature, developing the internal communication
presentation, compiling PR reports, issuing trademark agreements,
maintaining the company's website and providing general admin
support to the department.
Former student, Victoria Blake, gives her account of
the experience as Marketing Assistant:
"My time at Apollo so far has been a fantastic experience. The
Marketing team welcomed me so warmly, I felt like part of the team
immediately and I settled into my role very quickly.
I have been given a lot of responsibility which has helped me
develop my academic skills, my creativity and my design techniques.
I have had so many opportunities within the department both working
individually and in a team and I have been able to build up a
collection to add to my portfolio.
Whilst working at Apollo I have developed my communication,
organisation and time management skills and developed my
confidence. At Apollo you are treated as a key member of the team,
where your opinions are always asked for and taken into
consideration."
