The student will provide a central point of contact for shop-floor quality related issues and provide timely and accurate assistance where required.

Other key responsibilities include liaising with other departments to resolve component part issues, internal manufacturing process issues and evaluating the electronic SPC sheet storage system.

The applicant will need to be able to communicate appropriately in a variety of contexts, possess a good understanding in engineering concepts, have a keen attention for detail and a common-sense approach to problem solving.

Current student, James Frew, gives his account of the experience:

"Since joining Apollo I have been introduced to a large range of new experiences. Due to the good nature of the company, I was made to feel like part of the team from the beginning. The range of Quality Engineering is very large, aimed almost solely at problem solving and does cover traditional engineering problems, as well as customer service, and quality systems.

I have been involved with a number of projects which have not only allowed me to develop my personal skill set, but have also given me invaluable experience in terms of my degree and full time employment, which will be of great use after graduating."
