Apollo's products generally contain four sets of components:

1

Gloss white or red casings and internal black plastic components used in all Apollo detectors and ancillary devices and the green DIN-rail casings.

The white and red casing components are all V0 (UL 94) polycarbonate plastics as is the clear beacon casing. The black internal plastics are either polycarbonate or Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS). The green DIN-rail casing material is a Polybutylene Terephthalate.

2 The metal fixings used in the majority of Apollo products are Nickel plated stainless steel or Zinc plated stainless steel. Newer ranges of fire detection products use a combination of Phosphor Bronze and/or Tin plated brass materials.

3 The PCB material is an FR4 rated glass filled epoxy which incorporates Tetra-Bromo-BisPhenol A (TBBPA) flame retardant.

4 The surface mount and through-hole components attached to the PCB are all commercially obtainable standard electronic components. Currently the electronic components, PCB and attaching solder all contain lead to some degree*.

None of Apollo's products contain the following substances:

Cadmium
Mercury
Hexavalent Chromium
Polybrominated Biphenyls
Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers

* All Apollo's products fall within category 9 of the RoHS directive and are therefore currently exempt from restrictions on potential hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.
