Manual Call Points

Apollo’s new XP95 and Discovery manual call points have been designed to comply with European standard EN54─11:2001. As you would expect from Apollo, the new devices are compatible with previous Apollo call points based on the KAC World Series product.

The call points are supplied with isolators as standard. This means that additional isolation devices are not required on a system, saving both time and money. Non-isolated versions are also available.

In addition to being EN54─11 compliant, the new call points include a number of features designed to make installation and testing quick, easy and cost effective. The call points:

Are loop-powered, saving wiring costs
Have a resettable element for fast testing and resetting of the device
Have bi-coloured LEDs to indicate fault and normal conditions
Feature ‘plug and play’ terminal connections for fast wiring
Allow wiring continuity testing before fitting
Each product is sold with a resettable element and a backbox for surface mounting.

The call points are Type A devices meaning they are for indoor use only.

Intrinsically safe and waterproof devices for the Discovery range will be available shortly.

Discovery Marine Manual Call Point

The Discovery Marine Manual Call Point has been approved for use in indoor marine applications such as cruise liners. When operated, the manual call point interrupts the polling cycle for a fast response.

Transparent Hinged Cover

The Transparent Hinged Cover is for use with XP95 and Discovery Manual Call Points and can be fitted to add further protection against accidental operation.

The XP95 IS Manual Call Point is based on the standard waterproof model. It features an ''interrupt'' facility to provide a fast response to an alarm.

The XPander Manual Call Point is compliant with EN54:11. It is wireless and is powered by two independent packs of 3 AA alkaline batteries with a typical three year life.

The MEDC style Manual Call Point is recommended for heavy duty applications. This model is made of glass-reinforced polyester and may be ordered as break glass or push-button style.

The AlarmSense Manual Call Point is compliant with EN54:11. It is different from other
conventional call points in that it can be detected as an operated call point rather than a detector that has changed to the alarm state.

The XP95 Manual Call Point is compliant with EN54-11. The address of each call point is set at the commissioning stage by means of a seven segment DIL switch. The device features plug and play terminal connections and a resettable element.
