Technical Services is responsible for the design, testing and certification of Apollo’s products and provides technical input into all areas of the business. The department’s overall goal is to enhance Apollo’s reputation for innovation and excellence. It works closely with the Marketing Department to create products that are both appropriate and value for money. The latest technologies are made available through research and collaboration projects for the benefit of our customers.
The Department make extensive use of state-of-the-art design tools and prototyping facilities to design-in quality and reduce development time. Its design and validation function work semi-independently to ensure testing is done thoroughly and objectively. The department has extensive laboratory facilities to ensure new products can be tested thoroughly to Apollo’s rigorous standards.
The technical team support Apollo’s sales efforts by obtaining and maintaining the portfolio of worldwide approvals. The certification information is made available to our customers 24/7 through the website. The European Union new approach directives require close liaison with the Operations Department to ensure that the Approvals Body is notified of changes to both the product and the manufacturing process.
