Training Room

The Apollo training room is equipped to accommodate ten assemblers and two trainers at any one time and, although much of their time is spent training new employees, there are times when they are able to use the facilities for employees already on the shop floor.

The training team retrain employees who have moved to another line making a different product. They run refresher courses for employees who have not done particular tasks for a while, for example soldering. They train senior production operators to enable them to assist and train the staff on their lines.

They also run courses in wiring, component recognition and rework to employees working towards their NVQ and AVQ qualifications.
