Nigel Trodd -  Chairman

Nigel Trodd is Chief Executive of the Fire Division. He joined Halma in July 2003 and is a member of the Executive Board. Prior to joining Halma he was V.P. Europe, Middle East and Africa for Tyco Suppression Systems based in Frankfurt. Nigel is a business studies graduate of Thames Valley University and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Danny Burns -  Managing Director

Danny started his career as an electronics design engineer, then moved to sales and marketing and progressed into general mangement. Although a relative newcomer to the fire industry, joining Apollo as MD in January 06, he has extensive UK and international experience in electronics/software based markets as well as manufacturing operations.

Michelle Agius -  Sales and Marketing Director

Michelle joined Apollo in 1990 as Personal Assistant to the Managing Director. She has embraced five different roles throughout her working life at Apollo including Sales Office Manager and Commercial Manager. This detailed knowledge of the customer base and the business systems provides a solid platform for her current role of Sales and Marketing Director. Throughout this time she studied for an MBA which she was awarded in December 1999.

Chris Elkins -  Business Operations Director

Chris first joined Apollo in 1989 as Chief Accountant, a position he held for eight years. After a period working for a manufacturer of consumer durable goods in Havant, he returned to Apollo in 1998 as Materials Manager and in 1999, took over from the previous Manufacturing Director as Operations Director.

Tim Preston -  Finance Director

Tim Preston joined Apollo Fire Detectors Limited in February 2008 as Finance Director. His role also includes working for the Fire Division of parent company Halma plc.

Jeff Cutler -  Head of Technical Services

Jeff Cutler, an Applied Physics graduate, joined Apollo in 1990 as a Development Engineer. He was involved in the development of Apollo’s products and technologies throughout the 1990s, specialising in the design of the sensors and algorithms. He was appointed Sensor Technology manager in 1999 having successfully completed his MBA. In 2001 he became the Product Development manager. He took overall responsibility for the Technical Services in 2006.

Gary Craig -  Head of Sales

Gary Craig is responsible for specific multinational house accounts, new business development and third party suppliers.

Paul Smith -  Head of Marketing

Paul Smith has responsibility for Apollo's Marketing, Technical Sales, Product Management and Warranty teams. Paul has accumulated a wide range of skills and experiences from within the Electrical Industry during his working life and brings over 15 years sales and marketing experience to his role.
