Apollo products can be identified by their serial number or date code. However, due to factored products and changes within Apollo to improve production, the number formats have changed over time.

The information below gives details on the differences in serial numbering and date coding.

Previous Version:
Apollo has always applied an individual serial number to all detectors and interfaces in order to identify individual products after they have been installed.

The original serial numbered label will look like the highlighted illustration below:

Serial Code Label

Revised Version:
With modern manufacturing techniques, it has become clear that this individual identification is no longer necessary and we have therefore decided to identify products by date of manufacture only. The production date is therefore the serial number.

Due to customer response, Apollo now identifies individual products with a date code.
