Manufacturing Director
Apollo is looking to recruit a Manufacturing Director. The ideal candidate will have significant experience managing a high volume manufacturing operation and be able to demonstrate the passion to make their business a 'best in industry' producer. They will possess knowledge of modern manufacturing management, continuous improvement techniques and ideally have experience of manufacturing practice in the Far East. With responsibility for a direct workforce of more than 200 and supported by an enthusiastic, professional manufacturing team, the successful candidate will have strong leadership and influencing skills and be able to participate fully at board level.

Quality Engineers
An excellent opportunity has arisen for two experienced and ambitious individuals to join the Quality Team at Apollo Fire Detectors Ltd. in Havant.
The ideal candidates will have either a good understanding of both analogue and digital electronics or mechanical engineering and will have applied this knowledge in a Quality Assurance discipline. An excellent practical application of quality tools, such as SPC, Capability Analysis, FMEA, QFD and more is a must have. It is essential to have realistic hands on approach to problem solving and quality improvement, with a strong desire to challenge the status quo, to make a positive difference and influence change. Being a member of the Chartered Quality Institute and educated to HND level would be an advantage.
This is a challenging role in a demanding and rapidly changing environment. For the right candidates, there is a real opportunity to join and significantly contribute to a developing Quality Team.

Production Manager
We are looking for a Production Manager to join our Manufacturing team.
The role will involve the following areas of responsibility:
· Control and allocate resource
· Schedule and plan work through production - with a strong customer focus
· Setting & maintaining targets for production teams
· data / time recording of hours and other KPI’s
· Advise on and implement production methods
· Maintaining organisation & discipline within Production
· Monitor health & safety in the workplace
· Promote and monitor quality awareness
· Promote team working and communication
· Assist in maintaining security of building and contents
· Assist in training and developing of staff
· Liaise with Sales teams to generate a MPS (build plan)
This change aims to result in increased output, less wastage, considerably better allocation of resources and will ultimately drive the production areas forwards.
The person we are looking for should have had experience in Production Management and leading teams, a strong understanding of Lean Techniques. Good communication skills and with a can do attitude and strong desire to deliver results. Proficient with data tools and being able to use your own initiative.

Approvals Engineer
We are looking for someone to join our Conformance Department to help set up and run international product approval projects. You will be responsible for preparing technical submissions to certification bodies, arranging compatibility assessments, organising third party test work and working with our New Product Development Team.
You will also have regional specific responsibilities including China, North America and Asia Pacific. Educated to degree level or equivalent in either a physical science or an engineering discipline, you must have knowledge of national and international technical standards in the area of fire and marine safety and be up-to-date.

Senior Marketing Executive
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiatic marketing professional to join our well-established team at this exciting time for Apollo. If you are confident, energetic and self-motivated, we can offer you a rewarding career.
You will have experience of working in a marketing communications environment and a proven track record in planning and implementing marketing campaigns on time and within budget. You will be involved in the development of the company’s website, managing the generation of literature and other marketing collateral and supporting the work of product and sales managers. People management experience would be advantageous.
You will be familiar with Microsoft Office software, including PowerPoint and ideally will have experience of using Adobe software such as InDesign and Illustrator.

Production Engineer
An opportunity has arisen for a Production Engineer to join the Production Engineering team at this exciting time in Apollo.
Key areas of responsibility include:
· Work as part of a multi skilled team providing day to day technical support to all areas of production applying best practice/lean techniques as required
· Identify, lead and manage projects across the business that will support improved output, efficiency and quality
· Manage the introduction of New Products into volume manufacture, liaising with other departments as required during the NPD process.
· Develop shop floor processes – continually evaluate and apply best practice to remove waste
· Support sales teams identifying solutions to customer requirements.
Skills and Knowledge required:
· Experience in applying and using Lean Techniques including 5S, VSM, DFM and Kanban within a volume manufacturing environment
· Able to use Microsoft Office packages including Work, Excel and Access
· Educated in an engineering discipline would be advantageous
· Experience with having working within a continuous improvement environment
· An excellent communicator who can explain both things technically and non- technically
· Self motivated and resourceful

Shop Floor Staff
We are looking for day shift shop floor staff, particularly assembly solderers to join our team. The hours are:
Monday to Thursday 7.45 to 16.15
Friday 7.45 to 12.45
Full training will be given and the positions are temporary to permanent.
