As part of our ongoing activity to minimise the impact of Brexit on our customers, Apollo Fire Detectors Ltd is proud to advise that we have been granted Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) status.
This means that we are internationally recognised to a high standard which demonstrates that our role within the international supply chain is secure, and that our customs controls and procedures are efficient and compliant. It ensures that our international supply chains are secure and controlled from the point of origin through to the final delivery. In the UK, there are ~680 AEO registered organisations.

As part of the application process, HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) officials assess various aspects of an organisation including: the company's finances, the shipping procedures, the site security as well as their compliance with customs requirements and the fulfilment of the relevant legal and safety regulations. The assessment is stringent and we are proud to have achieved this certification.

The benefits of having AEO status include:
  • greater access to priority clearance
  • fewer delays in despatch
  • quicker access to certain customs procedures including some of the HMRC safety and security procedures
  • improved security between supply chain partners
  • reduced administration
  • traceability of flows of goods
  • increased transport security

Having AEO status will not only put us in good stead whatever Brexit route the UK Government pursues, but also benefits all our international customers, ensuring all orders are fulfilled as swiftly as possible.
