Introducing a new enhanced parental leave policy providing 14 weeks paid leave for all staff

As part of our commitment towards creating a more diverse and inclusive culture here at Apollo, we are proud to announce our parent company, Halma’s new Paid Parental Leave initiative to help our employees with their growing families.

Effective from 1st October 2020, this new policy allows for 14 weeks of paid leave for births, surrogacy and adoptions, offering men and women an equal amount of paid parental leave regardless of their gender or their sexual orientation. We understand the importance for both parents to play an active role in the early stages of their child’s life and therefore this parental leave policy will enable new parents to do so.

Our employees’ health and wellbeing is important to us, so we’re really excited to be part of this Halma initiative. Offering paid parental leave gives our staff and their families the financial security they need when taking time off with their new family member whilst being supported by us. We encourage both men and women to take all of the entitled 14 weeks to give them the opportunity to adjust to their new role as a parent, or to an additional family member.
