This project saw Southern Fire Alarms Ltd fitting multi-sensors and sounders to the brand new, state-of-the-art fire station in Cosham, Hampshire.
The Challenge
Southern Fire Alarms Ltd were entrusted with equipping the new Cosham Fire Station with comprehensive detection systems. A key requirement for this project was ensuring that the sensors used are highly resilient to false alarms, which is crucial for fire and rescue services that rely on precise and dependable alerts.
The Solution
Southern Fire Alarms Ltd utilised Apollo’s range of Discovery Multi-Sensor Detectors and VAD Sounders. A mainstay of the Apollo range, Discovery detectors consist of photoelectric smoke and thermistor temperature sensors that give a combined signal for high immunity to false alarms, meaning that they were the perfect fit for this project.
By implementing advanced technology designed to minimise unnecessary disruptions, these products will enhance the operational efficiency and safety of the station's vital services.
We ultimately chose Apollo for the range of products available, the open protocol aspect, and ease of installation that saw a seamless integration into the system.
